Lab Member Wins Oral Presentation at Research Symposium
We are delighted to announce a remarkable achievement within our lab. Setu Mehta, a dedicated second-year medical student from Johns Hopkins, has been an integral part of our research team, focusing on the critical area of inpatient diabetes management. It is with great pride we share that Setu has been honored with the prestigious "Distinction in Medical Student Research Award for Oral Presentations" at the Medical Student Research Symposium. This accolade was bestowed upon her for her exceptional research project, which aimed to assess the impact of inpatient diabetes management services on glycemic control among hospitalized patients. Setu's project was distinguished by its methodological rigor and the clarity with which she communicated her findings, earning her the presentation one of the two winning spots in the public health category for oral presentations. This recognition not only highlights her commitment to advancing medical research but also underscores the importance of our lab's work in improving patient care outcomes in the realm of diabetes management.
